SIZE CHART
FIND YOUR SIZE
Take your measurements and compare them to our size chart to see which size to print.
How to pick the right size for your sewing project?
1. Measure yourself or the body of the person you are going to sew for and write down the measurements.
2. For shirts, tops and dresses look at the bust circumference, for bottoms look at the hip circumference. Which size does your measurements fit the most? That's the size you need to print out. If you're sewing a fitted design, consider adjusting the waist circumference to your measured size on the pattern.
3. If you fall in between sizes, choose the larger size and adjust the pattern if desired. We recommend making a trial version first, so you can evaluate how many adjustments the garment needs.
WOMEN

How to determine your cup size:
1. Measure your upper bust circumference passing your back under your armpits above your bust at the narrowest possible part. Compare to the measurements in the table to see which size you should take. Take this size to print or trace.
2. Measure your full bust circumference across the widest part of your bust. Go down the column of the size you determined in step 1 until you find a measurement close to your full bust measurement.
TIP!
Measure yourself in a comfortable, well-fitting bra (without padding, unless that's what you always wear) for the most accurate measurements. When in doubt, take the larger size.

MEN

KIDS

Have a question?
The Colombia shirt is the kids’ version of the Clara pattern: playful, versatile, and fully customizable to your style. You can choose between a Cuban collar or a collarless version, depending on the look you want to create. Go for sleeveless or short sleeves, and optionally add a wide sleeve cuff for extra length and a fun accent.
The button closure and various pocket options— from large flap pockets to a small rounded chest pocket, with or without a subtle ruffle—make it especially fun to mix and match. With color blocking options, such as contrasting hem bands, sleeve cuffs, and pocket trims, you can give each garment a unique, personal touch.
Colombia is also flexible in length: you can choose from four hem lengths, including a rounded hem that works perfectly for a dress version. The fit is comfortable and allows for plenty of movement, so children can play freely while the garment still looks neat and contemporary.
This design is also available in women's sizes under the name 'CLARA shirt & dress', and there's also a similar men’s shirt design called ‘CUBA shirt’.
Fabric choice
Colombia offers a wide range of fabric possibilities. Choose lightweight, fluid fabrics such as viscose, tencel, or fine cotton for a soft, flowing look. Prefer more structure? Opt for slightly heavier fabrics like cotton, chambray, or linen for a more boxy appearance. More wintery fabrics also work beautifully for Colombia, making it a pattern you can use throughout the seasons. The final result will vary depending on your fabric choice.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND WASHING YOUR FABRIC BEFORE CUTTING.
Level
Colombia is designed with ease of sewing in mind. The techniques are kept as simple and efficient as possible, making this a quick and satisfying project. If you have never sewn a shirt before, this is an ideal pattern to start with. The simplest version— without a collar, pockets, or cuffs—is perfect for learning the basics. From there, you can gradually add more details at your own pace.
Fit
Colombia has a straight, relaxed fit with a slightly oversized feel. The dress version features small rounded side slits for ease of movement. Thanks to the different lengths, necklines and pocket options, you can easily adapt the look to your style.

Fabric requirements
The fabric lengths charts show how much fabric you will need for all variations, calculated on a standard fabric width of 140 cm - 1.55 yd. If your fabric is narrower, you will need more fabric length. For broader or narrower fabrics you can calculate how much fabric you will need by laying out the pattern pieces on the table according to your fabric width and measuring how much fabric length you will need accordingly.
