The variants go from short to long and include different silhouettes. A two piece bodice, a one piece bodice, a gathered neckline with bodice underneath, skirt parts in different layers, wide shoulder straps or narrow ribbons, ... Everything is possible, from loose and simple to "over the top".

As for the closure, we have two options: the button closure in the back makes for a tidy fitted silhouette, or add some fun with some trendy ties.

Fabric choice

Variants

This pattern gives you the opportunity to make not 1, but several garments. Here is an overview of all the variants you can make with this set of pattern parts.

Top / dress with button closure or tie closure 

If you make a tie closure, you can also opt for these views:

Level

This pattern has a difficulty level of 2 to 3 dots. A variant with 2 dots is a good project for less experienced sewers, who like to learn and try different techniques.
With this pattern you will learn how to sew gathers, make a doubled (lined) bust piece, sew a back closure with tie ribbons, and construct shoulder straps.
We gave the variants with a button closure on the back 3 dots, because that is slightly more difficult.

Fit

The best thing about this pattern: there are different pattern pieces for different cup sizes. The front bodice piece comes in cup sizes A to G. Check your upper and full bust measurement to determine which cup size you fall into. You can make the narrow shoulder straps from straight ribbon and fit it to the length you like best. We also offer pattern parts for wide shoulder straps. These are shaped to fit nicely around the shoulder. The skirt pieces are generous and you can sew as many layers on top of each other as you like for extra panache.

  You can print this one page containing some key information and your notes to store with your paper pattern parts. 
• A4/letter pattern to print at home.
  This file contains all the pattern parts you need to make every single variant. When you print this, you will need to tape or glue the pages together before you can cut out the entire pattern pieces. Learn here how you can tape the pieces together in a fast and easy way.
  
• A0 pattern to print at a copy shop.
  Would you rather not tape pieces together? We got you covered with this large pattern format. If you don't own a plotter you can print out this file in a copy shop or at a fabric store that provides a print on demand service.
• Both A4/letter and A0 pattern files have separate layers with sizes and seam allowances so that you don’t have to trace out your size onto a different sheet of paper and add seam allowance yourself. You can easily uncheck all the layers you don’t need and print only your size with seam allowance. That way you can directly cut out what you have printed. You can also uncheck the seam allowance box if you wish to add your own seam allowances. Don’t forget to tell your copy shop to select the right layers!

Notions

Fabric requirements 

The fabric lengths charts show how much fabric you will need for all variations, calculated on a standard fabric width of 140 cm - 1.55 yd. If your fabric is narrower, you will need more fabric length. For broader or narrower fabrics you can calculate how much fabric you will need by laying out the pattern pieces on the table according to your fabric width and measuring how much fabric length you will need accordingly.
