SIZE CHART
FIND YOUR SIZE
Take your measurements and compare them to our size chart to see which size to print.
How to pick the right size for your sewing project?
1. Measure yourself or the body of the person you are going to sew for and write down the measurements.
2. For shirts, tops and dresses look at the bust circumference, for bottoms look at the hip circumference. Which size does your measurements fit the most? That's the size you need to print out. If you're sewing a fitted design, consider adjusting the waist circumference to your measured size on the pattern.
3. If you fall in between sizes, choose the larger size and adjust the pattern if desired. We recommend making a trial version first, so you can evaluate how many adjustments the garment needs.
WOMEN

How to determine your cup size:
1. Measure your upper bust circumference passing your back under your armpits above your bust at the narrowest possible part. Compare to the measurements in the table to see which size you should take. Take this size to print or trace.
2. Measure your full bust circumference across the widest part of your bust. Go down the column of the size you determined in step 1 until you find a measurement close to your full bust measurement.
TIP!
Measure yourself in a comfortable, well-fitting bra (without padding, unless that's what you always wear) for the most accurate measurements. When in doubt, take the larger size.

Skill level
Easy to intermediate, depending on the neckline finish selected.
Atlas has a difficulty rating of two out of four dots and is suitable for confident beginners who would like to learn new sewing techniques. The basic construction is straightforward, but neatly inserting the neckline finish into the V-shaped opening requires a little extra precision.
Your customers will practise techniques such as attaching stretch neckbands, sewing an inset into a V-shaped opening and using different methods to finish the armholes of the sleeveless version.
The high collar with zip version has a difficulty rating of three out of four dots, as inserting the zip neatly requires additional accuracy and sewing experience.
Fit
Atlas has a relaxed, roomy fit that feels comfortable without being excessively oversized. Its straight, modern silhouette provides plenty of freedom of movement and room for layering, while maintaining a well-balanced shape.
The same fit works equally well for the long-sleeved sweatshirt and the sleeveless sweater vest, which is ideal for layering over a T-shirt or shirt.
With its different neckline finishes, Atlas can be adapted to a wide range of styles and seasons. From a simple everyday sweatshirt to a cosy winter version with a high collar or hood.
Fabric recommendations
- Medium- to heavyweight fabrics such as sweatshirt fleece, jogging fabric and French terry are ideal for comfortable sweatshirts
- Knitted fabrics and teddy fleece create warm, soft winter versions
- Thanks to the relaxed fit, woven fabrics can also be used for the front, back and sleeves
- The sailor collar, lined hood and high collar with zip can also be made from woven fabrics
- For the V-neck band, round neckband, high collar and wrap-over collar, ribbing or a knitted fabric with sufficient stretch is essential
- The different neckline finishes offer plenty of opportunities to combine fabrics, colours and textures
Atlas gives fabric retailers the opportunity to showcase sweatshirt fabrics, knitted fabrics and woven fabrics within a single pattern. With seven different neckline finishes, it is also an excellent way to inspire customers with creative fabric combinations and coordinating sewing supplies.
