SIZE CHART
FIND YOUR SIZE
Take your measurements and compare them to our size chart to see which size to print.
How to pick the right size for your sewing project?
1. Measure yourself or the body of the person you are going to sew for and write down the measurements.
2. For shirts, tops and dresses look at the bust circumference, for bottoms look at the hip circumference. Which size does your measurements fit the most? That's the size you need to print out. If you're sewing a fitted design, consider adjusting the waist circumference to your measured size on the pattern.
3. If you fall in between sizes, choose the larger size and adjust the pattern if desired. We recommend making a trial version first, so you can evaluate how many adjustments the garment needs.
WOMEN

How to determine your cup size:
1. Measure your upper bust circumference passing your back under your armpits above your bust at the narrowest possible part. Compare to the measurements in the table to see which size you should take. Take this size to print or trace.
2. Measure your full bust circumference across the widest part of your bust. Go down the column of the size you determined in step 1 until you find a measurement close to your full bust measurement.
TIP!
Measure yourself in a comfortable, well-fitting bra (without padding, unless that's what you always wear) for the most accurate measurements. When in doubt, take the larger size.

Have a question?
Atlas is a versatile sweater pattern for men with plenty of options to make it your own. Make a warm winter sweater with long sleeves or go for a modern sleeveless sweater vest to wear over a T-shirt or shirt.
The real variety is in the neckline. Atlas features a V-shaped neckline insert that can be combined with seven different neckline finishes:
1. V-neck band
2. Round neck band
3. High collar
4. High collar with zipper
5. Lined hood
6. Wrap collar
7. Sailor collar
Choose a simple neckband for a basic sweater, a high collar or hood for extra warmth, or give Atlas a more distinctive look with the sailor collar. Combine your favourite options and create a completely different Atlas from the same base every time.
This design is also available in women's sizes under the name 'ASPEN sweater & dress', and there's also a similar kid's design called 'ASH sweater & dress'.
Fabric choice
Atlas is designed for comfortable medium- to heavyweight fabrics. Sweatshirt fabric, French terry, knits and teddy fabrics are all excellent choices.
Want to experiment? Thanks to the roomy fit, you can also use woven fabrics for the front, back and sleeves. The sailor collar, lined hood and high collar with zipper can also be made in woven fabric.
For the V-neck band, round neck band, high collar and wrap collar, you’ll need a knit fabric with enough stretch, as these pattern pieces need to stretch while being sewn into the neckline. Ribbing or a sufficiently stretchy knit fabric works best.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND WASHING YOUR FABRIC BEFORE CUTTING.
Level
Atlas is mostly straightforward to sew, but every version features a neckline finish that is inserted into the V-shaped neckline. Sewing the point of the V neatly requires a little precision and is the most technical part of the pattern. That’s why Atlas has a two-dot difficulty rating rather than one.
Atlas is still perfectly suitable for adventurous beginners. Along the way, you’ll practise a few new techniques, such as attaching stretchy neckbands, sewing a V-shaped insert and using different methods to finish the armholes of a sleeveless version.
Looking for more of a challenge? Choose the high collar with zipper. Inserting the zipper neatly requires some extra precision, giving this version a three-dot difficulty rating.
Fit
Atlas has a relaxed, roomy fit without being overly oversized. It offers plenty of ease for comfortable movement and layering while still maintaining a clean silhouette. The same fit works equally well as a comfortable long-sleeved sweater or as a sleeveless sweater vest worn over a T-shirt or shirt.
